Free legal separation or uncontested divorce
Syracuse, New York November 13, 2008 - Pam Mantooth, Director of Paralegals Plus, is offering free paralegal
assistance with her newest service she calls, “No Parent Left Behind Program.” This program helps parents with
preparing legal documents for separations, child custody, child support, bankruptcies, and other legal matters.
Ms.
Mantooth has a long history of providing affordable paralegal help to residents in the Syracuse area. She
believes in the importance of helping people navigate the legal forms and filing procedures for whom legal fees may be financially
out of reach.
She is specifically aiming her new program at helping women who are affected by domestic violence and
will be offering her services to women’s shelters and women’s organizations across New York State. This service
will be a tremendous relief to those people who could not otherwise afford an attorney in these economically stressful times.
“Women,
especially mothers, who find themselves in life threatening or troubled circumstances need someone who understands and can
walk them through necessary procedures that can seem confusing and overwhelming during such times.”
Mantooth
has been an independent paralegal for 33 years (since 1975), serving up to 200 persons yearly with legal separations, uncontested
divorces, child support, joint custody, chapter 7/13 bankruptcies, and helping parents keep their homes. While receiving
her masters in psychology, Ms Mantooth worked with her clients offering divorce mediation and divorce coaching.
Ms.
Mantooth states that she services low and no income clients, and those persons who cannot afford to pay an attorney or those
who attorneys won’t assist them.
“I believe that everyone should have access to affordable legal assistance.
These days, preparing legal documents is a necessity, not a luxury. When clients ask me for help, I can offer them a payment
plan that fits their budget.”
Ms. Mantooth will be donating her services on a monthly basis to most New
York Domestic Violence and Women Shelters including: Vera House (Onondaga County); Lily House and Stop Domestic Violence (Clinton
County); Battered Women’s Services and Grace Smith House (Dutchess County); Haven House (Erie County); YWCA Domestic
Violence Program (Genesee County); Domestic Violence Program of Herkimer County; Hamilton County Domestic Violence Program;
La Familia, Lotus House Sage House & Center for Domestic Violence (Kings County); Alternatives for Battered Women (Monroe
County); Ivy House, Lang House and New York Asian Women’s Shelter (New York County).
